   The Otter Box case is an excellent way to protect my new Bold 9700. It does not add bulk to the device and I like how there’s enough coverage on the device. The only downside to this is the included screen protector. It is not the best but it holds up alright. I have some noticable scratches on it but once its too much I’ll purchase a much thicker one.
   Love the case over all, easy to slip on or off in case I need to pull the battery. The extra flaps for the power and headset ports are awesome!

   as much as my phone hits the ground, i need a solid case. this case has already proven sturdy enough for me. i have recommended to several people. the price seems high, but is cheaper than insurance on the cell phone. my only issue was with the screen cover. i have put these on my golf gps and ipods without issue. the one for the cell phone i could not remove all of the air bubbles. i still have one big one on the edge of the screen and a few small ones near the middle. it just does not look good. all in all, a good buy.

   I just received the Commuter case along with Otterbox’s Impact. My main concern was that my Blackberry 9700 keep it’s slim feel while being protected. The Impact case is slightly thinner but I think the Commuter case feels much better as far as the edges around the keypad & screen all for only . 03″ thicker. The plastic outer shell is perfectly positioned to give great reinforcement to the rubber portion of the system around the keypad so that the rubber edge isn’t flapping about as you use your keypad. . . . like most rubber only cases such as the Impact case which is still probably the best rubber only case on the market.

   The only improvements I would suggest are to add a 4 x 7cm or so hole in the back of the outer shell and mold the rubber inner so that the rubber sticks out into and slightly out of the new hole in the hard shell a bit to prevent sliding around on surfaces. . . . . kind of like the leathery pad on the phone’s battery cover. Also would like to see some other colors so my wife and I can more easily tell our phones apart when sitting side by side.

   Even without those little comforts I would like to see, the Otterbox Commuter is a fantastic case for a fantastic phone.

   I’ve dropped my phone a few times, and this case has protected it flawlessly. Even though the case is very sturdy, it’s still slim enough to slip in and out of my pants pocket which is really convenient. Any phone I buy in the future will have an Otterbox case on it!

   Good looking, quality protection for Blackberry Bold 9700 smart phone. I just got it. Goes on easily. Great combination of silicone and hard plastic case provides the best of both worlds: cushion & grip of silicone with the sturdiness and durability of hard plastic. It does not make the phone too bulky as many other plastic and metal cases do. And, of course, I expect this case to provide excellent protection for every day mobile phone hazards like bumps, scrapes and the occasional 3-4ft fall. I’ll edit this review if my long-term experience proves otherwise. (Note: This case has 3 components: Silicon case, plastic over case and a screen protector. )
